Refund Policy

1. General Policy Overview

All bookings, whether for lessons, open play events, workshops, tournaments, or private events, require advance preparation, reserved time, and often venue coordination. For this reason, cancellations and refunds are limited and time-sensitive.

By booking with Blooming Bams, you agree to the following terms.

2. Public Events (Classes, Open Play, Workshops, Socials)

  • Tickets are non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to another person. (Please email us so we can note the name change.)

No Shows:  Failure to attend without notice is considered a non-refundable no-show.

Cancellations by BBMJ:  If we must cancel due to illness, instructor availability, weather, or venue issues, you will receive either:

  • A full refund, or

  • An option to reschedule for another date

3. Private Events, Corporate Bookings, & Parties

Private events may require a non-refundable deposit to secure the date, time, and preparation.

Cancellations by Client

  • 14+ days before the event:
    Deposit is non-refundable, but any remaining balance paid will be refunded.
    You may also reschedule once without penalty.

  • 7–13 days before the event:
    50% of the total event cost is refundable.

  • Less than 7 days before the event:
    No refund is available due to preparation, materials, and scheduling commitments. Rescheduling may be available for an additional fee.

 

4. Multi-week Lesson Packages, Series, or Leagues

Refunds

Refunds with a 10% cancellation fee are allowed 48 hours before the first session only.  After the first session begins, the package is non-refundable.

Missed Sessions

Missed sessions are non-refundable. Make-ups may be offered at our discretion and subject to availability.

5. Tournaments

Ticket Cancellation

Tournament registration is non-refundable but ticket transfer to another player is allowed.

Tournament Cancellation by Mahj Styled

Players will receive a full refund or reschedule option.

6. Digital Products

All digital purchases (printables, downloads, guides, etc.) are non-refundable due to the immediate access provided.

7. Merchandise

We only accept returns for items that arrive defective or damaged.

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at hello@bloomingbamsmahjong.com with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will work with the supplier to replace the item or issue a refund once the defect is confirmed.

Please note:

  • Returns are not accepted for reasons related to personal preference, color variation, or general dissatisfaction.

  • All non-defective items are final sale.

  • Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging.

We want you to feel confident in every purchase and are here to support you if something arrives in less-than-perfect condition. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

8. Gift Cards

All gift card sales are final and non-refundable. Gift cards do not expire, unless specifically noted.

9. Exceptions

Blooming Bams Mahjong reserves the right to make exceptions at our discretion for emergencies or extenuating circumstances.

10. Agreement

By booking any Blooming Bams Mahjong service or event or making any purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds policy.
